Non-GMO Statement: the primary ingredients at the highest risk of being genetically modified in today’s feed market are Corn, Soybeans, and Alfalfa. We purchase what we believe to be all natural, non-GMO ingredients, but do not test our feed ingredients, at this time, due to the very high cost of non-GMO verification testing. Therefore, while we believe the feed is non-GMO, we cannot currently provide a 100% guarantee. Here is the current status of our primary feed ingredients…
Corn: we purchase corn from local farmers we trust that, according to them, is non-GMO. However, there is a slight risk that the corn could contain trace amounts of conventional corn due to some of our farmers growing both non-GMO and conventional varieties.
Soybean Meal: purchased from a supplier that tests each lot of their Non-GMO Soybean Meal. This ingredient is verified as Non-GMO by the supplier (test results available).
Alfalfa: all alfalfa products used in our feed (including Alfalfa Meal and Alfalfa Pellets) are purchased from a supplier who declares the alfalfa is naturally grown and non-GMO.
Oats: not currently a GMO risk ingredient, however we use oats sourced from a local certified organic grower whenever possible depending on availability. When organic oats are not available, we use oats from a local elevator.
We strive to make our feed as natural, non-GMO, pesticide-/herbicide-/antibiotic-/and hormone-free as possible while maintaining reasonable prices. Please contact us if you would like more information. You can call Jason directly at 513-378-3438 or email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
