We are Jason and Kimberly Zerkle (rhymes with “circle”) of Clinton County, Ohio. Together with our three children we live on a beautiful farm raising grass-fed beef, pigs, and chickens. We hope you will follow along on our adventure of stewarding the land to produce high quality nutritious food from field to table.

Returning to our heritage.

Like many farm kids, we left the conventional farm, went to college, got a degree, got a job and settled in to suburban life.  But something was calling us back to our agricultural roots.

You can take the kid off the farm, but you can’t take the farm out of the kid.

We knew grass fed beef was the best option for our family, but we couldn’t find any to fill our freezer. This frustration turned into a nudge and then turned into a push to find better food options. After deciding that we wanted to grow our own food, all we needed was a farm.

On a quiet county road, we found a listing for our dream farm.

In 2007, we found a perfect 26 acre farm to start living our dream.  The farm needed a lot of work to convert from a soybean field to a vibrant, prolific pasture.  Plus we started from scratch; we needed seed, fence, cows, pigs, chickens, equipment, barns, and a lot of determination.  We are so thankful to all the folks who have encouraged us along the way. Because of you, we can grow and raise nutritious authentic food for our children and yours.

You are what you eat.

We are committed to clean, healthy food.  We do not spray our fields with chemicals of any kind. Our cattle are grass-fed only and are not given growth hormones. We use antibiotics only when necessary to protect the animal’s health and vaccinate regularly to maintain herd health.
